Quick Tip: Turn Your Photos into a Video Slideshow for Your Website

June 11th, 2013

Present a product line, sum up the highlights of an event, or tell any story with photos and music. With Slidely slideshows, you can make your site even more visual and professional. It’s free, with no installation needed. Discover this new tool to transform your images into a full slideshow and engage your visitors. Take a look at our example and don’t miss out on how to add Slidely to your website.

Personally, I love Slidely for websites because it provides a new format to publish images. Products stand out, images form a story, and now webpages can be even more complete. It also allows visitors to view the slideshow on your website in full size. Therefore, aim for quality images.

Converting your photos into a video is very fast and easy. Choose photos, music, a template and the effect you want. The best sources are:

  • Images: from your computer, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Instagram
  • Music: uploaded by you or from Youtube, Soundcloud and even a Slide.ly list.

Once you register and create a slideshow, follow these steps to insert your Slidely slideshow on your website:

a. To find your slideshows, go into your account and click on your name (in the top corner to the right) and choose “My Slidelys”. On the next screen: select the slideshow you want to insert into your website.

b. Now click on “Share” to reveal the box that contains the code you need.

c. As shown in the box below, first click on “Embed” (1) and choose the size of the slideshow (2). If you want the video to play automatically when people enter your site, click “Autoplay”. Finally, click on “Copy” (4) to get the embed code for your website.

d. Start now and open your Webnode site editor to insert your widget from Slidely.

How did it turn out? Would you share your slideshow with us all? Don’t hesitate, and share your web address in the comments so we can see what kind of beautiful slideshow you made for your website. Be sure to also read the step-by-step guide for working with the website builder.
